A Little Bit About Me
Well, first off my name is Clif. I'm a computer programmer by trade and my main hobby (until now) has been woodworking.
It all started on day back in early 2002 when I happened to catch a program on the Discovery Wings channel called "A Plane Is Born". Here was this wacko british dude, Mark Evans, who was building a kit plane called a Europa. After watching several episodes I thought to myself, "Wow, maybe I can build a plane too!"
I began researching kit planes on the web. There are a lot of them! I also signed on to several news groups and list serves to better understand just what I was getting myself into.
The more I learned, the more I became organized. I came to discover two things. One, that the building process needs to be documented severely. The other is that many, many other home builders have web sites which show that documentation for others, such as myself, can see what's involved in building an airplane.
This is the reason for the site. Things will go slowly at first. Lots of research and preparation before a decision is made. Then, as building progresses, there will be fits and starts. This web site will document it all.
